Ten thousand words, each with 200 dimensions. A browser-based exploration of relationships, analogies, and the space between meanings.
I’m Zongo Maqutu, a software engineer building interactive web applications, machine learning visualizations, and the systems behind them. These are my personal projects—built, tested, and revisited over the years.

I’m Zongo, a software engineer. This is a curated archive of my personal projects: early experiments, things that became tools, and ideas I kept coming back to.
The work moves between Java, C++, Python, and the browser—through simulations, algorithms, machine learning, and visual systems. Together, these projects trace how my interests and approach to engineering have grown.

Ten thousand words, each with 200 dimensions. A browser-based exploration of relationships, analogies, and the space between meanings.

A 3D pathfinding and learning environment. Compare deterministic graph search with an agent learning from rewards, repeated journeys, and negative sink states.

An early terrain simulation: click to add water and explore the difficult relationship between shared state, rendering, and time.
Treat a grayscale image as a graph. Traverse neighboring pixels to discover connected regions.

Four clustering methods. One spatial laboratory. A way to see not just where an algorithm lands, but why it gets there.

A desktop chat experiment with direct messages, group broadcast, and retrieval of stored conversations.
In 2021, a Python script grouped these eight points. Five years later, they’re still inside the 3D lab. Add your own points and centroids, then watch the groups take shape.
Click the plot to add a point, or use coordinates below.
Up to 64 points and 8 centroids. Empty centroids stay in place.
Find the closest centre for every point. ITERATION 00
Start from the original dataset, then make it your own. Reset restores the eight-point study.
Some became tools. Some stayed experiments.
Each opened up a different part of computing.
My work connects frontend engineering in React and TypeScript with backend and systems programming in Java, C++ and Python. Machine learning, data exploration and visual computing give those systems something to reveal.
First, the mechanics: water moving downhill, packets crossing a network, threads waiting for one another.
Then, the behavior: pixels becoming shapes, agents learning a route, a network recognizing a digit.
Now, the experience: building interfaces that let someone else see, question, and play with those ideas.
The thread running through it all is making a system understandable by making it visible.
Java, C++, Python.
Systems and first principles.
React, Three.js, TensorFlow.js.
Algorithms with a visible life.
Workers, vectors, spatial interfaces.
Experiments others can navigate.
